Cwmbran, South Wales | Greenmeadow Golf Club Wedding Photography
Our Lady & St Michael's Church, Abergavenny and Greenmeadow Golf Club wedding photography by Cwmbran, South Wales, Bristol & Gloucestershire wedding photographer, Jackie Cuff.
Nick & Joice orignally got married during the summer of 2020 in a small ceremony after their original date was moved due to Covid. Like many other couples, they decided to continue to plan their big day for a later date to celebrate with family and friends.
I was thrilled to be asked to capture their wedding day memories not only as their photographer but as a guest too! I went to school with Nick and my husband and I have been friends with him for many years and Joice was welcomed into our friendship group when they met a few years ago. It felt very different to be standing near the altar during the ceremony, to look up and see so many of my other friends looking back at me as well as my wonderful hubby too!
Nick & Joice chose to book me from the ceremony onwards, with a pre-wedding photoshoot included in their package. We met up in August at Linda Vista Gardens to take some lovely photos of them and their gorgeous baby girl. It can always be a great idea to include your children at pre-shoots so that they can feel a little more comfortable around me in time for the big day whilst you also get familiar with me and how I work and help you feel more at ease in front of the camera.
On their wedding day, I arrived at Our Lady & St. Michael's RC Church in Abergavenny well in advance. This church was chosen due to Joice growing up around the area after moving from India with her family who were part of the Roman Catholic Church.
The Church had a beautiful stained glass window behind the altar making for some stunning photos. After the ceremony, we had a whole group photo in front of the church followed by some family photos of the couple with their gorgeous little baby girl and then with their wedding car hired from Windsor Wedding Car Hire.
More group photos were taken outside Greenmeadow Golf & Country Club followed by some lovely photos of Nick & Joice around the grounds. Lots of natural photos of people chatting, smiling and laughing were taken throughout the day, especially during the speeches. Once I'd capture the cutting of the cake, the first dance and a few extras of some guests dancing and having some fun at the evening party, I put away the cameras and enjoyed the rest of the night as a guest!
