Danica & Sophie wanted to include their two lovely horses, Ted & Star in their pre-shoot. This is a lovely idea! I always welcome anyone along with couples on their pre-shoots, whether it's their children or even pets! It's a great opportunity to get in some family or pet photography. We decided to meet up at Boyd Valley Lake, a campsite where the horses were kept in their own private fields. It was quite picturesque here with a field full of buttercups adding a burst of yellow to their photos.
This couple had already expressed their worries about feeling uncomfortable in front of the camera, so a pre-shoot is a great way to ease them a little bit.
I love including pre-wedding photoshoots as it's important for me to get to know couples and vice versa. I can find out how you are as a couple, what you're comfortable with and which photos you love the most and you can see how I work, and we can just generally find time to chat and break the ice. Plus it means I'm not a complete stranger turning up on your wedding day!
